As Visakhapatnam Port is essentially a bulk cargo port, Sravan Shipping Services Private Limited has been handling a fair share of all cargoes i.e. DAP, MOP, UREA, SULPHER, Manganese Ore, Rice, Ammonium Nitrate etc. Over the years few million tons of bulk cargoes have been handled and we posses rich handling experience in this field. The required infrastructure to handle these volumes efficiently was acquired by the Sravan Shipping Services Private Limited due to the following factors.
We have the largest Warehousing Complex with storage space measuring 10, 00,000 sq.ft of General and Bonded warehousing facilities close proximity to port. Properly managing warehouse stocks can be a tricky business, requiring constant coordination between us and our client. Fortunately, the level ofperformance at our warehouses is extremely high, thanks to our expert staff and adherence to strict working procedures. We monitor all relevant activities and discuss the results with our clients at regular quality assurance meetings, where a rating of ‘superior’ tends to be the rule not the exception: that pursuit of perfection is in our genes.
Sravan group owns fleet of Restackers, Tippers, Front end loaders, JCB Loaders, Cranes,Forklifts, Poclains and Trailers. We also engage ODC Trailers and fire engine & Fighting Equipment as per the requirement and provide full fledged services to the customers. The company also undertakes long route transportation from all over country. Our company is registered with Visakhapatnam Goods Transport Operators Association. A fully electronic 100 MT Weight Bridge is operations in our warehousing complex.
The Godowns are mainly used for the purpose of handling Bulk fertilizers especially Ammonium Nitrate that require covered accommodation and such cargo that require additional operations like bagging etc. The company is thus self-sufficient in meeting the total needs of any discerning client.
Our Departmental Objectives:
- To ensure that that the cargo is cleared from the Warf/port premises to the storage points/receivers with minimizing transit spillage’s during intercarting from docks to storage points.
- To ensure that the cargo received is stored/stacked/bagged as per product specified handling procedures ( Material Safety Data Sheet)
- To ensure that the cargo stored/stacked in storage points is protected from contamination and adverse weather / environmental conditions to maintain product quality.
- To ensure that the cargo is dispatched / transported to the receivers in the quickest and safest possible manner.
